|empty lot!! Maggie Vogt's truck made it!!|
The mountain tried to pull a fast one on me and close at noon. My first ride wisely bailed and I slugged out to the road in the rain. No tunes!! Ipod won't take a charge. No Problem!! Some how the first car that rolls by stops. Hue, the driver, is somehow actually me from another universe 10 years down the road. He is living in a tiny house in NC, on the beach, surfing every day!!We partook in the usual nuances of hitching and then got to into a great chat about deep shit!
|Hey Gumby!! Where's Pokey?|
It was raining hard at the hill. The snow was uber slow! Not even the best wax in the world (oneballjay!) could save ya from the slow monster. It was soft and made for some interesting turns on the steepest section of North Face. After a few runs Hue was over it and we headed down. This guy reminded me of Eustice Conway from "The Last American Man" . Hue made my day by taking hours of hitching in the rain out of the equation.
Forecast looks bad, but I think today was a perfect example of somethings can look bad, but be great in the end!
