Caught a ride today with Kenny and a couple of other instructors, Malcolm and Peder. Malcolm told some funny rafting stories and soon enough we were at the hill; a frozen chunder-locked hill. It was sunny and the resort was busier than I expected.
I got to take a run or two with Kevin Mcevoy whom I lovingly refer to as "Canadian Kevin". We made the best of the icy conditions and headed for chair 2. The jumps Frankie and I hit were still there from yesterday and we took advantage. It was great to see Kevin, but snowboarding wasn't my favorite part of the day. I spent most of my day by chair 2 checking tickets and helping the little ones get on the chair. They are so happy to be in the mountains. Seeing their smiling faces fills me with the same love of nature and going fast!
I had ridden a chair earlier in the day with Keaton, a rad skier from Colorado. He saw me with the thumb out and pulled over to give me a ride. No place I feel like I have more friends than the mountain!
